History below
Unawatuna and Galle are home to several exciting wreck sites.
The SS Rangoon is one of the area's most famous wrecks. This historic steamship rests upright on the seabed outside Galle Harbour and is home to marine life.
The SS Orestes, also known as the Tango Wreck, offers another exciting wreck-diving experience.
Beyond the wrecks, sites such as Napoleon Reef, Galapita Gala and Aluth Gala offer different underwater landscapes and marine life to explore.
